NYC-based chef and educator Gabi Chappel specializes in plant-based, seasonally-inspired cuisine. She completed the Health Supportive Culinary Arts program at the Institute of Culinary Education (previously the Natural Gourmet Institute). She works in private cheffing, catering, recipe development, and culinary education. She intends to offer useful, interesting, and healthy cooking advice with an emphasis on making the most of the produce that is readily available to us all year long.
Her culinary passion began when she responded to an on-camera talent role for Conde Nast’s Epicurious. She added, “I was featured as a “home chef”, but during that time I felt myself falling in love with the art of cooking. In September 2020 I applied to be a student at the Institute of Culinary Education to earn a certificate in their Health Supportive program (formerly Natural Gourmet Institute aka hippie vegan cooking school).”
Her passion for cooking has now brought her to the Next Level Chef season 3. Every floor of the three-story building has a remarkably unique kitchen. Gordon feels that the real test of great chefs is not only what they can do in the greatest of circ*mstances, but what kind of magic they can produce in the worst, the ingredients match the atmosphere, from the sparkling top floor to the demanding bottom of the basem*nt.
Ramsay and his fellow mentors go above and beyond in their search for the best home cooks, social media chefs, and professional chefs to join their teams. They are joined by two of the industry’s most prestigious chefs, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais.
